Rubberised Cork Strop

These are the strops used in the Sheffield Knife Sharpening workshop every day. Every single knife we sharpen is finished on one of these. Strops are used for deburring and polishing the edges of your knives and are to be used in conjunction with a polishing compound for best results.
The strop can be cleaned with soap and water to refresh it before adding new or different compound or if it gets dirty/greasy from being in a kitchen.
These strops are incredibly durable and long-lasting and will survive years of daily use.
When applying compound, apply a thin layer to cover the whole surface and let dry before use. Check out the Borachrome and chromium-oxide compounds on our store as these work perfectly with these strops.
