Description

Borachrome is an abrasive-rich water-based paste made with boron carbide and chromium oxide. It is ideal for deburring coarse finished knives that are not excessively wear-resistant ‘super steels’.

Perfect for most stainless knives if finished in the 1000-4000 grit range. The addition of boron carbide gives this deburring compound extra cutting power without losing the deburring ability of chromium oxide.

Borachrome is made from from a mixture of chromium oxide and boron carbide in a water-based paste with the majority of the product being abrasives. The boron carbide in Borachrome has a more aggressive cutting ability than chromium oxide on its own, yet still creates fine finish edges with the presence of chromium oxide.

A thin layer of this compound on a strop will last for between 40-60 stroppings. A little bit goes a long way!
